Dr. Kelly Cormack has a pediatric and pregnancy certification and treats people of all ages, focusing on family health. If there is a problem in your body from birth, it will only become a different, more severe problem as you get older. It is much easier to prevent something from happening to your body then to fix it. Dr. Cormack is always looking to optimize the body’s healing potential.
All 3 chiropractors in the clinic, Dr. Kelly Cormack, Dr. James Leeson, and Dr. Charlene Banbury, use diversified adjustments but there are many tools that can also be used to get the same adjustments for people who are scared of the “crack”. Tools such as drop tables, arthrostim®, activator®, and vibracussor® can be used to get the same results but in a much more gentle form. We are extremely patient-oriented and we listen to our patient’s concerns. If you are looking for a more gentle adjustment, Cormack Chiropractic Care will definitely accommodate.
Dr. Kelly Cormack
Founder & Chiropractor
Dr. Kelly Cormack completed her undergraduate degree at Trent University in Peterborough, ON, achieving a Bachelor of Science with Honours in biology in 1999. Dr. Cormack continued her education at the University of Prince Edward Island and eventually went to Northeast College of Health Sciences (formerly known as New York Chiropractic College) making the dean's list and obtaining a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2016.
Dr. Cormack has successfully completed 200 hours of a pregnancy and pediatric chiropractic certification, holds an orthotics certification and a ConnectX certification.
Cormack Chiropractic Care was founded in 2018 and has been in their current location at 1840 Lansdowne St W., serving Peterborough and the Kawarthas, since April 2022.

Dr. Charlene Banbury
Chiropractor
Dr. Charlene Banbury grew up in Peterborough, Ontario. She enjoys spending time with her two sons, her husband and her two dogs. Over the years she has enjoyed watching her Boys play hockey, baseball and soccer. They have many good memories of times spent with the Peterborough and Millbrook league volunteering as a hockey trainer with her husband coaching.
Dr. Banbury completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at McMaster University in 1995. She continued her education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (C.M.C.C.) in Toronto where she graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 1999. She began her career practicing in Cobourg and Colborne, Ontario before moving back to Peterborough where she has been practicing for 22 years.
Dr. Banbury enjoys using a variety of techniques to give each patient an individual program to help them reach their wellness goals. This can include acupuncture as she is certified through McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program and through C.M.C.C. Continuing education acupuncture program. She also may include Cranial adjustments. Dr. Banbury is certified in Cranial adjusting through the Turner Technique program and Upledger Institute. She can also help her patients with pregnancy related issues and is certified in Webster technique and paediatrics through the ICPA.
Other treatments may include myofascial deep tissue therapy, stretches, mobilization’s, acupressure or low level laser therapy.
